This is a really cute outfit. I always like light colors on you. And the collar necklace adds a sense of whimsy to the look.

  • Jamie replied 11 years ago

Stunning! I'm a sucker for red and ivory (or white!) together, and I love this whole outfit on you!

  • replied 11 years ago

That looks like a great first date outfit to me, although it's been ages since I've gone on a first date, lol! Thank you for showing a close-up of the collar. I've been wondering what kind of blouses those work with.

Love this colour combination and those burgundy skinnies are fantastic on you Anna. Like Claire, thanks for the close up of the collar. I love how they are both fashion forward and slightly retro all at the same time. Enjoy your date!

really like this silhouette and choice of garments for a first date!

  • Kirti replied 11 years ago

Very pretty, I love the softness of the top and the collar.

  • Suz replied 11 years ago

I think that's a gorgeous date outfit. I have been eyeing collars like that; they are so much fun! I saw some cheapo versions in H&M the other day but they were just *too* cheapo. It is a look I would like to try.

As for those jeans, they are amazing. I just love the stiching down the sides.

Great outfit, Anna. One of my first random thoughts was that if you spill wine on those pants it won't show! Hope the date was as fab as you look.

  • kellygirl replied 11 years ago

Sweet outfit! You always look so freaking amazing, Anna. You look sophisticated and fun! Hope it went well :)

Aha, I just packed a close replica to this outfit for my Paris - London Trip, but with black boots. I might reconsider that. Of course, my stuff is not as luxurious. Theory and GAP :)
    Gorgeousness!

  • Kat replied 11 years ago

The stitching on those pants is unique, gorgeous and super flattering and I think the combination works spectacularly with the softness of the top and collar. Hope the date is as fabulous as the outfit!

  • modgrl replied 11 years ago

Love the whole outfit, just not sure about the shirt. Maybe it's just the picture. Is it smooshing your girls IRL? Hope not, because it is cute!

  • MsMary replied 11 years ago

    Really pretty!

  • Jenava replied 11 years ago

This is so sweet! I love the belt buckle and collar with this and those jeans are awesome.

  • rachylou replied 11 years ago

This is a GREAT first date outfit for a fashion forward girl. FULL STOP.

I swear, just wear this one over and over and over again! ;>

ETA: Ok. Back to say why it's so good. 1) It's understandable. Jeans, boots, blouse. 2) You can walk in it. A long way if you have to. 3) It's covered up but pretty and feminine. You're not untouchable, but you must be respected. 4) It's fun, lively, and totally of the fashion moment... the collar is fab!

  • DonnaF replied 11 years ago

Love that collar! Red is supposed to be the sexy color. You look very approachable (says the woman drawn to man repeller looks). Best wishes; you deserve the very best. And have fun!

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

Perfect date outfit Anna! It is fashion-forward without being intimidating and you look so pretty in the collar and cream-colored blouse.

ETA: the blouse is sexy without being vulgar in the least, and I don't think there are fit issues with it. Sometimes a hint of tension around the bustline telegraphs to a male "she has a bust, good" rather than looking like a wardrobe fail.

Simply put, I wouldn't change a thing about this.

  • Sara L. replied 11 years ago

I love this outfit! I recently bought a similar sheer white long-sleeved shirt and I'm not sure exactly what to do with it. This gives me some ideas. I hope your date went well!

  • Diana replied 11 years ago

This is a perfect first date outfit. Love that this is approachable and not too whackadoodle but still has little Anna touches like the cool trim on the jeans and the collar.

Agree with Denise. I like that this is sexy but not vulgar.

    Hope the date goes well!

  • JR replied 11 years ago

Oooh, love this one. Quirky and classic, edgy and romantic all at once. And as a sucker for both beads and lace... :o)

  • catgirl replied 11 years ago

    Super pretty look for you.

  • Janet replied 11 years ago

I love that you manage to tie together romantic and a bit tough in one look. The end result is really approachable, yet interesting. Have fun!

  • Mo replied 11 years ago

This is both approachable and fashion forward. Great first date look!

  • Deborah replied 11 years ago

Anna this is lovely! I particularly Ike the romantic elements that you have made work in a very fashion forward look. Hope the date goes well.

  • RoseandJoan replied 11 years ago

Whenever I see those trousers my initial thought is ' ride em cowgirl' but that may not be entirely appropriate for a first date :-)

I love this outfit for the occasion and for you in general, if the date does not understand fashion you look approachably kooky but if you find a guy with the slightest interest in the subject he will understand the reference points.

I feel this is you uncompromised and I love it :-)

p.s. have you lowlighted your hair? it looks ombre in the photos but maybe it's the light.

  • Ingunn replied 11 years ago

You look cute, pretty, approachable and stylish! What more can one wish for on a (first) date? I love the way you put together elements in this outfit: The collar is so fab with the blouse details, and the skinnies, wow! Beautiful colors in this outfit. I hope the date was/is worthy:)

  • annagybe replied 11 years ago

Jules, my hairdresser did put more low-lights in my hair to blend and darken it a bit more for fall/winter.
Thanks everyone, this was a bigger hit than I'd thought it be. At Barney's in Vegas I tried on this shirt. But it was soooo short and showed my abdomen. So I went to Zara to find an approximation.

The collar was an impulse purchas at the register at Zara.

  • RoseandJoan replied 11 years ago

    The lowlights look fantastic Anna.

Fingers crossed the date is not a dud.

  • replied 11 years ago

I love the new lowlights in your hair. The outfit is perfect for a bar date ( hope it goes well). Those jeans are fantastic. I really like the look of the collar/blouse combo from a distance but I'm not crazy about the close up showing seperation between the collar and blouse, but that"s just my normal fussy tendancy.

  • Aida replied 11 years ago

This is so gorgeous Anna! And really great for a first date (says someone who hasn't dated in a long while, buuuuut I'd so want to wear something like this if I did!). Perfectly approachable, soft, and still very Anna. Love! Hope the date goes just as spectacularly :)

  • annagybe replied 11 years ago

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I just got a message from him that he can't make it! Literally two hours before our date.

ETA this is what I get for taking a chance on a guy that had pictures of him when he was 21 with a mullet on his profile.

  • Jonesy replied 11 years ago

That is the worst kind of crummy! Perhaps you dodged a bullet from Mr. Mullet (looking for the silver lining here).

  • Jenava replied 11 years ago

Well, you've certainly got your outfit figured out for the next date! (-: I may need to steel that belt buckle from you...

  • CocoLion replied 11 years ago

    "Nexxxxt!"

    (Sorry to hear that Anna.)

  • rachylou replied 11 years ago

    Mercury retrograde....
