WIW 11/17 Tangent off of Lucky magazine inspiration

While I was at the gym this morning I perused the November issue of Lucky. They had one picture of a woman wearing purple geometric print trousers, a floral shirt and leopard platform pumps.
I don't have geometric pants, so I tried all my floral pants, too springy. So I decided on these JBrand brocade skinny jeans. My patterned shirts didn't quite work either, so I went with my taupey/cream Acne blouse, chocolate suede Alexander Wang jacket, Dieppa Restrepo leopard smoking slippers, Eugenia Kim knit headband and H&M Anna Del Russo rhinestone name necklace.

Wow, this is gorgeous! The blouse really works with the vibe of the outfit, and that jacket+pants combo is fantastic. You should put this in the datewear file...

I echo Jenava, gorgeous was my first thought.

I think this outfit demonstrates how far your style has eveolved since you started posting your WIW, this is worlds apart from the equally fabulous but distinctly fierce Balmain look you previously rocked.

I really like how cohesive the colours are and then the Anna necklace adds the touch of chaos.

Anna this looks really good. Are you wearing a cami under this blouse? It's a bit sheer. The headband is an acquired taste but having seen it on you a couple of times I am really liking it. Aside from the headband, I would absolutely wear this combo...so does that mean I'm getting more edgy....or your becoming a little modern classic *wink*

I am wearing a camisole, but it's short. It ends at the waist. My long one is in wash. I wore that one yesterday for the aborted date. I think I need more long nude camisoles.

Under light-coloured tops, I will often wear a darker cami to blend with the pants and eliminate the line at the waist. The trade-off is the line at the shoulders, of course, but I figure that is usually more flattering. And I also figure that everybody knows I'm wearing a cami anyway, so why not? It should turn up in one of my WIWs one of these days now that we're back to layering weather.

You look good here. I am kind of jealous that you can pull off a headband. I look hideous in them.

Very cool. I really like the combo of brocade skinnies and leopard slippers. Rockin'!

Anna, I'm not sure if I have seen a post of you wearing these brocade skinnies before. LOVE them, and I adore this combination too. Cool pattern mixing, beautiful soft blouse and more structured jacket - I agree with Jenava that this could be a good datewear capsule outfit!
