WIW 9/19 Ivory, denim & leopard

Wearing my Pendleton ivory wool blazer that was a birthday present from my Dad. I probably could fit into the 10, but this is a 12 and shoulders fit pretty good. So I'd say their size chart is accurate. Excellent quality fabric. I've been looking for a white or ivory blazer for quite a while. This was definitely the best bang for the buck. Probably wear it mostly unbuttoned.
With Costco t-shirt, Subversive necklace, white leather belt, R13 shredded jeans and Dieppa Restrepo leopard smoking flats.

Killer to the power of Killer

My favourite Anna outfit of 2014. The palette of whites, the prezzie from Dad, the flats, and the modern classic blazer style amped up with those hectic jeans is an excellent juxtaposition.

The size on the blazer is dead right. A size down would not have looked chic. Rock on.

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

Love love everything in this outfit, Annagybe. The 12 is a classy but not stodgy fit. I don't know if a 10 could do as well. You've got a good eye for denim.

  • Diana replied 9 years ago

Love the new blazer!  I think the fit looks great.  The juxtaposition with the ripped jeans is fantastic.

I didn't even have to see Angie's response to know that she was going to rate this K2K.  In the thumbnail, I thought, "Oh! That's nice!" In the full-sized picture? I felt almost faint.  This outfit is Perfect, Anna.  Perfect.

Love the blazer with the leopard flats!

SO FAB!!  That blazer is a home run for sure!  Love it with the shredded jeans, and the leopard shoes are the icing on the cake!

    Beautiful jacket!

  • kkards replied 9 years ago

love this! glad the jacket worked out so well.

  • rabbit replied 9 years ago

Really love this!!!   You look gorgeous with those creams, and the detail of the necklace, distressing on the jeans, and shoes works together perfectly.  (The tumble of that necklace really works with your hair--your best accessory-- as well).

  • Kristin SF replied 9 years ago

Wow. That jacket is STUNNING on you. I love love love everything about this outfit. You look so great. :-)

Re: the distressed jeans, did they come like that, or did you add the backing yourself to ensure they don't get even more distressed?

(I just bought a pair of super distressed jeans and am having my tailor add patches to the back, so they don't fall apart.)

  • UmmLila (Lisa) replied 9 years ago

I've been wondering how that jacket worked out for you ... I was still on the fence about it, but now that I see how great it looks on you, I might need to get it!

  • Happy replied 9 years ago

Love the blazer, wish I had the nerve to wear jeans like that, and think the leopard flats are da bomb.

I struggle with shoes so this is quite inspiring.

  • Angie_T replied 9 years ago

Fantastic ensemble.  I wish I had those pieces!

  • Staysfit replied 9 years ago

Pure awesomeness! The new jacket is stunning and looks so cool with shredded jeans.

  • rebekahphoto replied 9 years ago

this is fantastic on you! love the leopard and cream.....wish I could wear ivory more (but I am really pretty messy)! I missed seeing your fashions over the summer while I was away!

  • Quietgirl replied 9 years ago

This is a FABULOUS outfit. After the earlier one this week (which I loved) it is hard to choose which I like best. Great job!

  • Ginkgo replied 9 years ago

    You look beautiful in white.

  • Caro in Oz replied 9 years ago

Angie says it all - so fab. Your dad has great taste too :) :)

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

Thanks everyone. I'm going to tempt fate and go to a "Wine Down" Meetup at winery tonight.

I predict this blazer will be workhorse.

  • frannieb replied 9 years ago

    This is a fantastic outfit.

Perfect outfit!  The color of the blazer really suits your skin tone.  Your makeup looks fresh and lovely and I adore the juxtopsition created by the lovely blazer and the destroyed jeans.  You look lovely!

  • Sal replied 9 years ago

Ha ha hope the winedown was fun (how could it not be!).. Did you stick to white or brave the red?
I agree with everyone else that this is just the best look.  Such a cool mix of textures, colour and styling.  White is great on you.

  • Elly replied 9 years ago

I agree with Angie-- I'm loving the slight undercurrent going on with your style recently--- still edgy fabulous Anna, but done in a slightly more understated way.

  • Elizabeth P replied 9 years ago

More love from me! I think this is my favourite of yours so far. Have fun with the wine!

  • Lucy replied 9 years ago

You are killing it lately! This is fab fab fab!

  • Marley replied 9 years ago

Oh wow Anna - this is beautiful on you!  Love everything about this outfit - what a great present from Dad!  You look gorgeous!

  • tulle replied 9 years ago

Wow.  I tend to avoid distressed jeans, but the way the looped texture of yours harmonizes with the subtly aged tones of the denim, ivory wool, leopard flats and bronzey necklace has got me dreaming . . . something very "Out of Africa" going on with this outfit.  Love it.

  • Jjsloane replied 9 years ago

ONe of my alltime favorites too. LOVE the blazer, you (and Dad) chose well. You made Pendleton work for you.

  • Mary Beth (formerly LBD) replied 9 years ago

You look absolutely divine!   This is definitely your color palette.   You've picked up your blue eyes, fair skin and hair with the colors.

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

I absolutely adore the pristine white blazer against the super distressed jeans. WOW. Your dad gives great gifts! Hopefully there were no wine spills.

  • Janet replied 9 years ago

Like Angie says, the power of a modern classic... The blazer is perfect on you, and it is the magical touch that brings the chic to all the trendy pieces. Beautifully done. I hope you had fun at the winedown!

  • AviaMariah replied 9 years ago

More love from me.  I love the combo of the shredded jeans and necklace with the jacket.  Great present from Dad!!

  • columbine(erin) replied 9 years ago

You look great in ivory! happy for you that the present from your dad is beautiful and fits well. I like this color palette for you very much.

  • karymk replied 9 years ago

Did your dad actually pick this out for you Anna? If he did he is a HERO to the third power.  I love pendleton wool and try and buy a piece every time I am in Portland to visit family.

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

    Gorgeous in every way!

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

No he didn't pick it specifically. He suggested something from Pendleton & I found the jacket. He did see a picture & approved it.

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

Love the blazer paired with the distressed jeans. You look amazing.

  • catgirl replied 9 years ago

Haven't read other comments but I think this is my favorite Anna outfit of all time.  It's a little of everything but not too much of anything.  And it all looks spot on. :)

  • Eliza replied 9 years ago

Stunning! I love the textures of the cream and whites together. Very powerful outfit. Leaving the jacket open showcases all your pieces. Very well done.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

You are on a streak of especially gorgeous outfits Anna!

  • gryffin replied 9 years ago

Anna - this outfit is unbelievablly stunning on you!!  I love how the ivory of the tee and jacket makes you look lit up with golden candlelight!!  Belt, amazing jeans, slippers, necklace - each element in such perfect harmony - just fantastic!!

  • josie411 replied 9 years ago

How did it go at the winery? I so love that color on you but am curious how it works for you in the world of spills, dirt, elbows on table (gosh forbid!) an so on? Does it take to spot cleaning? Is there any hope for this slop to rock that color?

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

I was really careful. I even a chicken sausage on a bun with grilled onions.

  • Debbie replied 9 years ago

I love this Anna. The jeans with the blazer. I would have not of thought of it but you look absolutely beautiful in this. Can't wait to see you this weekend.

  • josie411 replied 9 years ago

Chicken Sausage is brave indeed! In the interest of science, I would love to hear how you handle dirt going forward. But don't soil yourself on our account!

  • unfrumped replied 9 years ago

This is inspired. This is the kind of outfit where first what I see is how fab and glowy you look, and then begin to notice the great details.

  • lyn67 replied 9 years ago

K2K from me! Love this look Anna! RATE but sophisticated, wow!!!

  • Windchime replied 9 years ago

The blazer is fab and really complements your hair and beautiful complexion. It's all the more special because it's a gift from your father. Has he seen it on you yet?

Okay, I'm taking lessons from you. I have a long white blazer that I've been struggling to style. I always worry it looks like a lab coat. Definitely no lab coat in your outfit here!

  • Vivi replied 9 years ago

I've looked at this outfit a few times now. I love everything about it from how the necklace bookends the shoes to that beautiful shade of ivory against white and denim. The fit is perfect. Exceptional.

  • Aida replied 9 years ago

Late to the party but happy to finally be here. WOW how fab you look in this amazing outfit, Anna!! I hope you don't mind but I've pinned this for future inspiration. Not sure how to emulate, but I just must find a way. Gorgeous blazer, I love the longer/looser fit. Man, I need to update my blazers.

(Quick question: the color beneath the tears in the jeans are part of the jeans yes? Not a pair of blue/denim hose underneath? I acquired a pair of shredded jeans from my sis and am debating whether I should leave the holes open or to add a fabric layer below so it has a look similar to yours here.)

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

Aida the jeans are patched behind the shreds.

  • Aida replied 9 years ago

Hmm maybe I should post mine. I keep waffling about what to do with them.

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

Home run! My favourite 'Anna' outfit -stunning.
