WIW 8/6, Well that didn't last long

Outfit inspiration struck me while I was lying in bed this morning. Thought I'd share. Rodarte for Target striped t-shirt, Thom Browne for Target/Neiman Marcus shrunken blazer, AG ex-boyfriend shorts and Prada white golf shoes.
Bonus shots of a super sweaty bug eaten me from killer hike to Blanca Lake on Sunday.

I love everything about that outfit!  And wow, your hike location looks like a postcard.  Stunning!

  • cobaltblue replied 10 years ago

Love your outfit! That lake is beyond beautiful.

  • Joy replied 10 years ago

I can't help but love any outfit with a striped tee, but this is especially inspirational. The strictness of the tipped blazer and pristine white feet contrasts sharply with the distressed shorts in an interesting way.
You hike to that beautiful spot is enviable.

Welcome back fabulous lady in shorts :)

  • Thistle replied 10 years ago

That is a postcard perfect shot!!  So beautiful!  Worth the bug bites?

Love your commuter outfit today, but I have a sugar eye for stripes  ;)  Really like the way the jacket echos the blue and white, and the way the shoes bookend the white in the top. So fun!

Lol! Great to see you, Anna. I thought you returned that jacket from Target but am happy to see it still around. I love the outfit--preppy fun :) The hike pic is just awesome. SO envious!

    Beautiful hike location!

  • Adelfa replied 10 years ago

Yes, super cute outfit. I love blue and white, stripes, shorts, and all the pieces really work together. You have me thinking I should wear my blazers more!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

What an outfit! Love the way the tipping of the jacket echoes the stripes and how those amazing shoes tie it all together. And love the juxtaposition of the sport/ preppy blazer, shoes, jacket with the faded shorts.

    Glad to see you back!

And what a gorgeous place you hiked to. Looks a bit like Lake Louise in the photo.

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

Oooh, I love that blazer on you (I had to return mine, unfortunately). It looks great over the striped T. And the scenery is breathtaking. Cute hiking outfit--you match the lake!

  • Sara L. replied 10 years ago

Great outfit!  I love the blazer over the stripes with the white shoes.  Beautiful photos!

  • ManidipaM replied 10 years ago

Ooh, the sporty mariner! I like! Wouldn't this be perfect for teeing off on a cruise ship?

  • Diana replied 10 years ago

Love the juxtaposition of the nautical-inspired jacket and the distressed shorts.  The pictures from your hike look amazing.

    Glad to see you back!

You look relaxed, the (beautiful) hike did you good.  Love the shrunken blazer.

  • Isabel replied 10 years ago

YAY !!!!!!!!!  Who cares about time. LOL

You look fantastic. I just love the stripes with the tipped jacket. You will have to forgive me, but what are "golf" shoes ?

Oh...the pictures. At first, I thought that you had taken off for Canada to Lake Victoria. Are you kidding me ?  You live near this place ?  Wow.  Hiking and nature really are so soothing. Redemptive.

Nice to have you back.  :-)

Beautiful lake, looks like it's glacier fed. Stunning photos. You must have had a big dose of euphoria, I can see it on your face in the hiking pic.

Nice outfit. Prep school doesn't come cheap, so a girl has to caddy to help with tuition!

  • AviaMariah replied 10 years ago

Love the stripes.  There's no place more beautiful than the PNW!

  • chewyspaghetti replied 10 years ago

    Love it!

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

    Aww, thanks everyone.
Isabel, I call the shoes "golf shoes" because that's what they look like to me.
Luckily they're pretty comfy because I have a few blisters from the hike. Also why are you more sore two days after the hike than the day after?

  • Elly replied 10 years ago

    Glad you are back . . .

What a beautiful place. You look very satisfied in your hike pictures. I love those shorts on you.

  • Eliza replied 10 years ago

Great look.  Love the stripes and jacket, but the shoes are amazing.

What a beautiful place to hike. Thanks for sharing.

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Glad you are back! WOW, that is one beautiful lake... you are so lucky! Loving the outfit, too. The other commuters on your route are really getting a treat in the am.

  • rachylou replied 10 years ago

Yay! You're back from your hike :D

You're killin' me with the outfits. Love love love. You know, I can't remember Thom Browne coming to Target...

  • Isis replied 10 years ago

Love the juxtaposition of the tailored blazer with the ripped shorts.  Wonderful outfit.

And the hike!  You are so lucky to live near such beauty!

  • Lisa replied 10 years ago

Gosh you have the best hiking trails.  Have you ever gone to Dominica?  The hike to the boiling lake is difficult but great fun!

This is a preppy look for you, I like it!

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

I love this look! I have similar shorts... hmm, could I pull this one off?  I have got to come hiking with you someday - or else you need to come here!

  • Louise replied 10 years ago

Looks great. What beautiful scenery x

  • DonnaF replied 10 years ago

Who else would have a tshirt to match and remind herself of a gorgeous lake and the hike there?  Was sure it was a postcard until I saw you in the pic.  Sigh.

Love your take on the striped t, tipped jacket, etc. as well.  Thx for taking the time to take pic & post.

  • Caro in Oz replied 10 years ago

Glad you are back :) Beautiful location.

Love the outfit - blue & white looks fab on you.

  • cheryl replied 10 years ago

I think that is my favorite outfit of yours ever. Love it. That scenery is breathtaking.

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

I love you in shorts.  And the hike pictures are phenomenal!

  • Isabel replied 10 years ago

Regarding being more sore on day two.  Oh how true.  I went kayaking the other day and two days later I was icing my upper back and taking Tylenol !  How pathetic, I know .   : )
