WIW 8/22 Blue leopard & black

Going to the hair salon after work. Roots and split ends begone!
Wearing pleather front top from a local boutique, TopShop boyfriend jeans, Wolford socks, Saint Laurent blue leopard pumps, Kate Spade bag and Linda Farrow sunglasses.
I was going to wear my Target pearl and mixed chain necklace, but it looked too maximal. So I wore my Wendy Brandes silver squirrel necklace.

I had to do a double take b/c I thought those were booties with those socks - ingenious! You look very cool and I'm jealous of your hairdresser appointment - I'm due for that too but will have to wait for the kids to go back-to-school.

Those socks with the pumps is pure genius Anna! It gives feminine pumps a whole funky/urban vibe that pairs really well with the pleather top. Fab outfit :)

Hah. I love the socks with the pumps. A lot more playful that way. Very Harajuku. Have you been to Japan, Anna?

We might have to call you Queen Playful.

    Killer look.

Those pumps with those socks is The.Coolest.Thing.Ever. You are brilliant.

I like that you kept the rest simple. The footwear deserves to be the star here.

This is the first time I have ever thought that socks and pumps looked good. I also thought they were lace-up booties at first.

Angie, I had an overnight stay at hotel near Narita airport as I was transiting to South Korea. My passport did get stamped. But I really don't think it counts.

OMG, I am so copying the sock idea - I could make pumps wearable that way.  Brilliant.

You would LOVE the OTT fashion in Tokyo. You need to go there.

I wore pumps and stockings like that in the 80s and loved it. That's a really fun touch.

Love the pumps and the socks, they totally steel the show.  Very cool.

Ohmigosh the socks with the pumps is brilliant! Plus I'm happy to see those pumps again, so gorgeous. I really like the dainty necklace and the soft pink lipstick with this outfit, great counter to the leather and distressed denim. LOVE those sunnies, wow I totally want a pair.

So after my hair appointment I visited Barneys. Lots of nice new shoes, but held to Austerity August. They gushed over my outfit & said more people in Seattle need to dress like me. For the record I did buy these shoes at Barneys.

The socks and pumps are so fun! Those sunnies are lovely on you too!

Did you find that the socks stayed on your foot? I imagine that they would start pooling around my skinny ankles pretty quickly.

This look is Rocker Chic and I'm all over it! the top, distressed jeans, and the added BONUS of SOCK DETAIL- GENIUS!!! I myself will now be on the lookout for a pair of similar socks!

Anna, you have a second career as a stylist.  Such genius!

I remember when you bought those shoes! I love them with the socks. LOVE. And I agree with Diana -- so brilliant that the rest of the outfit is toned down, even with with the jeans distressing somewhat muted. Beautiful balance here. Putting this among my faves.
