WIW 8/21 Moto & Flares, summer edition.

I posted this look from Intermix yesterday:

I don't have black flares, yet. But I had these Hudson flares I bought a few years ago, wore once and was planning on selling. I pulled them out of the sell pile to do this outfit. I probably need to hem them a bit.
Worn with Improvd woven leather moto, James Perse drapey tee, Neiman Marcus multi-chain gold necklace and sand suede Acne Pistol boots.
Sorry for the over exposed second picture.
Going to friend's husband's birthday party. Friend in-law?

Hemming is a good idea. :) But keep! They look great on you.

Love this Anna, great summery copy.  I would also hem the jeans a little.  I think that I am going to copy your copy, and summarize it a bit more .

  • replied 9 years ago

Yes, hem a tad, and you have a great look!

Great look. I like the bookending with the light boots. Flares look fresh don't they? I'm glad I have a pair too.

A little hem or higher heel will sort out the fit on the inseam. Is that still one of your favourite jackets?

    Sweet :)

    I love this whole look.

  • kellygirl replied 9 years ago

Awesome! I hope you keep the flares.

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Love! Yes hem a little but keep those jeans, they are fantastic on you.

  • ironkurtin replied 9 years ago

You pulled it off!  I love this.

Nice! The flares are a different look for you (more about the pants and less about the shoes) but I like it.  I like how the necklace kind of stands in for the drapey turtleneck detail in the inspiration.

Love this Anna. Quite a lot. The necklace is a great nod to the texture in the inspirtion piece--but echoes the lines of the jacket, somehow, too. Lovely look on you. The flares are great--I say get another pair.

Love that jacket! And great look ( I may need to copy :)

I like this a lot -- it's a look right up my alley, and I'll be doing something similar when we get cooler temps. I'm still jealous that "summer" and "moto" can coexist in anyone's world. :-)

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

I like this. And I love the way the jacket's texture hints back to the textural effects of the sweater in the inspiration.

  • Keturah replied 9 years ago

I love it!!! It's so incredibly summery, without being too "beachy." You look amazing. And I'm totally envious of your flare jeans and moto jacket. They're stellar.

  • Gracie replied 9 years ago

You look fantastic!  Those flares are so cool... and the jacket, of course!  I like the way the necklace is matching your hair perfectly, gold suits you!

  • Marley replied 9 years ago

Wow Anna!  You are so pretty!  This outfit is really flattering on you.  The flares make your legs look even longer!  I also love the peek of the light boots at the bottom which bookends your hair perfectly.  And, the texture of the jacket is so cool!  Love this outfit!

Fab look! I pulled out some bootcuts the other day and they were suddenly too long, though I'd had them hemmed for the same height shoe. What is up with that?

  • Aida replied 9 years ago

How fun to see you in flares, Anna! I almost wore mine in a similar outfit today but decided to take advantage of long-shorts weather while we can ;) Hm, maybe I could use my moto vest... Love your interpretation, that is a really cool moto. Also really dig your hair long and soft, along with the long layered gold necklace; adds a sweet boho touch that's offset by the moto and boots.

Everybody has already said what I think.
Fresh flattering and fun- a winner.  Esp for the friend in law's party.

  • Aquamarine replied 9 years ago

I love this! I was never over flares or bootcuts, so I am excited someone as fashion-forward as you are wearing them!

  • cheryle (Dianthus) replied 9 years ago

Excellent interpretation Anna.  The pieces are simple but work really well together.  I think the chain necklace is perfect with it.  I pinned the look so I can keep it in mind for when it cools off here.

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

I like the flares, and I like your interpretation of the look.

  • donnat replied 9 years ago

I am surprised how much I like those flares. They look great!

  • san replied 9 years ago
