WIW 7/21 black, grey and distressed, again

I was supposed to go hiking today but a series of bad nightmares all night made for poor sleep. So I'm going grocery shopping instead. Whoo-hoo! Though I might go swimsuit shopping.
Wearing R13 slouchy grey tee, destroyed True Religion jeans, distressed calf hair Camilla Skovgaard wedges with a leather fringe necklace from Barneys.

Cool shoes -- are they comfortable?

Sorry you had nightmares. That is no fun.

Awesome errand outfit.  The necklace bookends the shoes just right.  It must have cooled back down in Seattle.  Pants would have me running screaming right now lol.

Such cool shoes!!  Are they comfy? The heel height plus peep toes make my tootsies cry at just the thought  :)  But then, I have super fussy feet!

You look fab, fun and relaxed. Only thought would be maybe a belt with the faux tuck. Not required at all, but might add a pop if you wanted it to.

You set a high bar for grocery shopping. I'd need to drive one of those motorized carts in order to shop in those shoes. You look fab as ever and I'm loving your hair--the color looks different--more golde/honey in these photos. SO pretty!

I love that fringe necklace and those cool shoes elevate the outfit in more ways than one!

Lotta casual flair in this outfit IMO Anna.

You do RATE well too :). I really like the necklace with the texture of your long hair.

Is your back handling high heels again, Anna?

Wow, just look at you in those jeans. Fantastic. I like the overall style of this look. It has a cool, casual vibe that is fashion forward but still relatively simple, so you shine through.

Great way to change up the day to fit your real life... Sorry you were having nightmares hope tonight is better!

Sorry about the nightmares -- must be something in the atmosphere. I had a long, involved dream that was very post-apocalyptic (but involving floods, mountains, and libraries, go figure). It was really weird and unsettling, but it also contained some amazing vivid imagery that made me wish I was a painter. I woke up wondering if the end of the world would truly involve such dramatic light and multiple rainbows.

But back to the real topic! Your outfit is outstanding weekend casual. I don't recall seeing those shoes before but they are excellent.

Great outfit - I love your hair too :)

  • Nicola replied 10 years ago

    Serious shoes!

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

Thanks everyone! The shoes are a couple years old. But I'm going to sell them, because they tore up my big toes something fierce.

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

I am sorry about the nightmares and that your shoes have to find another home (cos they are awesome).  I love this look on you.  The slouchy tee works great with the distessed jeans and the necklace is just right.

I hate a rough night.  Fab outfit for errands.  I still can't stop looking at the new hair, that color is just lovely on you!

  • ManidipaM replied 10 years ago

The shoes look great and do some fab bookending, but I think it's the necklace that really elevates this look from my version of grey T-shirt and jeans, say! You look FAB!

Hope swimsuit success soothes those nightmares.

Anna and Janet, I've had nightmares several nights this week too!

LOVE the outfit.  It just seems perfect in every way.

Holy cow, I love everything about this!  You look so COOL!!!

  • Susie replied 10 years ago

Sorry to hear about the nightmares. And that those gorgeous shoes have to go. I bet you didn't see anyone else at the grocery store looking nearly so fab!

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

How awful that your shoes "tore up your toes" - out they go! I really like the amount of slouch in that tee and semi tucks perfectly in to those jeans.

Sorry to hear about the nightmares - I hope you get a great sleep tonight :)

What Ceit said (asked)--love the unusual shoes, though they look like they'd kill my feet. I do think this is a wonderful outfit, and what I would be striving for. (There! You're my inspiration!) Low color contrast, clean, interesting lines and the killer details.

  • pil replied 10 years ago

Don't know why, but I am particularly loving that tee. Maybe because of the necklace. I have a poison eye for destroyed jeans but, wow, this looks great. The cuff and shoes show off your beautiful ankles. Sorry about the toe and nightmares.

    This outfit rocks!

  • rachylou replied 10 years ago

Gorgeous. I'm coming to steal your shoes...

  • Marley replied 10 years ago

Wow Anna - this is great!

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

FAB!  A variation on this has been my summer casual uniform.  Grey t, jeans, chunky black shoes.  DONE.

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

You make a grey T shirt and jeans look so COOL! What a fab grocery shopping outfit. Those shoes are so neat but they look like murder on the toes! Sorry you had bad dreams, hope tonight's are better, how about some dolphins and unicorns instead...

  • rae replied 10 years ago

Ouch, sorry about the shoes. I can relate; every peep toe does that to me. :(

But it is a killer outfit - so effortlessly cool.
