WIW 6/15 Much saner

I feel so much better in today's outfit. Though I don't know how bloggers like Atlantic Pacific do the whole take pics with coffee cup thing. It was pure torture to buy my cappuccino and drive the photo spot and not take a sip, otherwise my lipstick stained cup would ruin the effect. Though maybe it would add a sense of gravitas.
Anyways I found a drive up window at an abandoned bank for my backdrop. But it was a bit tricky to shoot because the pavement was slanted.
Wearing an ALC twisted hem sweater, R13 chap jeans and Celine Love Life sneakers and LAMB bag.

I like it. Still plenty of interest and edge. I'm laughing about the coffee cup. I would not be able to handle taking photos of myself pre-coffee. :-)

I love it that you held off taking a sip of coffee for the sake of the photos! I didn't get to comment but loved yesterday's non-whackadoodle floral ensemble. Today is Anna-cool.

Hope the bubbles were good last night. Living vicariously through you.

Love it!  Casual and chic and the jeans and the plaid sneakers still make it Anna-Fashiony!

How long did it take you to artistically arrange those dead leaves?  ;)

  • Astrid replied 9 years ago

That's too funny with the coffee. I don't think I would have been able to resist... I like the outfit, it still has some edge. Love the plaid sneakers!

Like the outfit! Relatively simple for you, but still a lot going on. And the drive-in window makes a fun backdrop.

  • Phatgranny replied 9 years ago

    Awwww . . .cute!

  • Sara L. replied 9 years ago

Too funny about the coffee cup - I never thought about that when looking at A-P's photos.  Great pattern mixing with the stripes and plaid.

  • JAileen replied 9 years ago

When you take these pictures, does someone else take them or are you taking them yourself using a tripod, etc.?

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

I have a tripod. So yes, sometimes I get some very strange looks. It would nice if I had the boyfriend/husband photographer, but I don't, so I make do.

  • lyn* replied 9 years ago

I wouldn't blame ya, if you were just posing with an empty coffee mug. I know I gulp mine!!

    Love the bold lip :)

  • Gigi replied 9 years ago

    Love the jeans!

Next time you get coffee, ask for an extra empty cup. Then that can be your prop for all your future photos. :)

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

Love this, the jeans make your legs look miles long.  Cracking up at the coffee cup comment!  I want to see the bold blogger who's holding something like a cigarette, a joint or a cheap can of beer.

I love this!  I am grateful that the women of YLF go to so much trouble to give us beautiful pictures to look at.

    Killer

My favourite type of Anna-Outfit. Simple Complexity. And you know exactly what I mean. xo

  • Ornella replied 9 years ago

Well, FWIW I loved "Frida" and think it's one of my most memorable WIW from you! hard act to follow if you ask me.

Maybe because it is so unexpectedly calm and relatively simple, this also looks great to my eye. Top to toe. Oh, I hope the coffee did not get cold.

How do others do it - well, they either take an extra empty cup just to be a prop for the shoot (who knows if anything's cooling inside for the sake of the photoshoot) or have someone driving them around while they cradle the precious cup.

  • Ornella replied 9 years ago

I love what Angie called it - Simple Complexity.
    Totally so.

  • Debora replied 9 years ago

You made me smile with your coffee cup saga. The wait must have been worth it - great look for you and great photo shoot. :)

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

I guess I assume they take artistic license with the contents of the coffee cups. You however are the real deal. I love the backdrop - I have not seen one of those in years and years! And the outfit - simple complexity and also complex simplicity!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

A casual yet chic and fashion forward outfit. Those sneakers are fab!

  • Neel replied 9 years ago

Perfect! As Angie simply put it .... Simple Complexity!

The coffee cup thing is funny and you deserve a pat on your back for waiting to drink that morning cuppa :) I have also seen bloggers crossing the same street like 4-5 times in the same blog post for *street style* kind of snaps O_O

  • Ledonna N. replied 9 years ago

The story, those jeans and shoes, the location yes to everything. Next time put that lipstick on the cup maybe that is why I have never been a fan of the more popular bloggers like Atlantic....

  • Sharon replied 9 years ago

Oh, I really like this! Simple, but also edgy and interesting.

  • Mona replied 9 years ago

So nice to see an edgy outfit like this. The red lip looks gorgeous on you.

  • Tanya replied 9 years ago

I was struggling to find the right description, and then realized that Angie has already come up with the perfect one.  You look gorgeous, and I am impressed with the coffee restraint.

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

Cool. Funny about the coffee cup & lipstick. I'd have smacked my lips all over that puppy by now.

  • viva replied 9 years ago

I don't think bloggers have any coffee in their coffee cups: pure props. They've already had their coffee, and their lipstick-stained cups are out of the frame!!!

You look great here, Anna. I love those jeans.

  • rae replied 9 years ago

Cool backdrop! And outfit, too. Clean coffee cups irritate me a little... drink that sucker! lol

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

The chap jeans are great! Now I wish I wore real denim. I like this look. It has a Nordic feel. I'm having a Nordic moment right now, personally, and am reading Oak magazine. It's been coming on for a few years and has snowballed to a certain size. I will say Lilypup the dog appreciates all the herring on toast.

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

    What Denise said!!!

  • JAileen replied 9 years ago

I thought of you when I was waiting in line with the other Walmartians. Maybe you could use this for your photo shoots. I think lipstick would wipe off.
