WIW 5/16 nothing special

In the spirit of recent posts on more basic everyday wear I present this, a commuting outfit. I was on call yesterday and worked nearly 11 hours, so I'm very tired.
Straw fedora from Australia (I think it was Myers), Pendleton striped cotton sweater, TopShop jeans and Celine sneakers.

I never saw a stripe I didn't like, so needless to say, I LOVE this. Nothing special's the new special!

Your "nothing special" is indeed something special :)

Love these "basic" posts even though yours still looks way above average. Hope to see more of your everyday style--it's inspiring!

    Killer

I LOVE simpler outfits - although to most - this would probably not be regarded as simple, Anna. Like everything - it's relative.

The pattern mixing and matching with the stripe and check is delish.

Love it!  The hat to crown it all is great.  Hmm, I should bust out my straw fedora . . . thanks for the inspiration.

Love it! You just gave me a good outfit idea too. If it's not too warm next week, I'll post my copycat. :-)

love the way the colors in the stripes mirror the colors in the sneakers! and the jeans are great, too!

I think you should change your title to Daily Commute or something.  Nothing Special isn't quite accurate ;)

Heck, if that's consider "nothing special" I would love to see your "Oh I just threw this on ;) girl you look good.  Lets start with the continuing theme of the stripe from the hat all the way to the shoe and Oh wow the pattern mixing from the hat to the top to the shoes.  Great way to start my weekend.

hope you are having a chance to rest :)

The sneakers and sweater together are great, but I also really like how the patched jeans and fedora take it to another level of fun and unexpected.

Fresh and easy, but still with that little bit of twist. Fab.

Love this so hard!!  The top and the sneaks are perfect together, and the hat is the icing on the cake!

Anna - I always s LOVE stripes - the plaid slips ons and the hat take it up that extra notch!! - I really think it is that extra something special!!!  I can't show DH - he'll be wanting to sport Stripes with plaid - in a way that would not be good.......

Oh my, I hope you've had a chance to rest up! Commuting outfits may be simpler, but you've got such great wardrobe items and such a great eye that you've still got good interest here. Thanks for sharing this with us, it's got a fun vibe. I loooove the stripe/plaid mix.

The sneakers make it look very special. It's great when you can put together a comfortable and functional outfit with some trusty pieces that have a bit of a history.  Looks effortless.
