Very cool, very fun Anna look!

  • leopardluxe replied 10 years ago

    Totally rockin'.  Love it!

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

Okay. You sold me! Now we're even. Taupe jeans for me, Rodarte team jersey for you. Love it. The lace sneaks and the pink necklace make it. I am smiling. :)

  • Janet replied 10 years ago

I know I was not cheering on that particular jersey, but I'm glad you got it. You look happy and fab wearing it, and that's what matters! Your styling is fun.

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

This looks so fun.  I, too, wasn't a fan of the shirt in the beginning but it looks fantastic as part of you whole outfit.  Love it all (especially the sneakers).

  • Diana replied 10 years ago

Well, I too was skeptical at first but I LOVE THIS. Should've known that you could work your Anna magic on it. Love it with the pop of pink and the tux jacket. Just fantastic all around.

  • Aubergine replied 10 years ago

I'm another one who wasn't crazy about it when you posted it, but I'm glad you got it and I think you look great in this outfit. The leather skinnies work especially well with the jersey, I think.

    And nice backdrop!

  • kkards replied 10 years ago

    1st---I'm loving the outdoor shots.
2nd-- I should have known you would be able to take a look that shouldn't work and make it work! I'm totally loving those sneakers!

  • Catnip replied 10 years ago

I liked it and I still like it.  It looks terrific on you!  You've made me smile.

  • catgirl replied 10 years ago

    You look very happy!

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

    A hundred thumbs up.

The white shirt makes the look for me. Adds the finesse and takes away the "costume factor", if you know what I mean. I'll say it again. The power of the classics.

11 out of 10, Anna. Super fabulous. xo

  • MsMary replied 10 years ago

As usual, you are rocking it!

What's that on the shoulder of the jersey?  A scorpion?

  • Eliza replied 10 years ago

Wow- missed the Rodarte post, but love this look.  I didn't see the crisp collar until I hit the photo that focused on it, and wow- how lovely and unexpected.  I also have to comment on the photos themselves.  Love the setting and the slight blown back look in #2.  Winning!

I love your styling! This is a great example of how to dress up a sports jersey. But I still dislike the jersey. Let me explain why! 1) People not really paying attention and/or who don't know what "Rodarte" is (especially since it is partially hidden by the jacket), and/or are not super into sports--i.e., the average observer--will just think you are wearing a regular dressed-up football jersey (out of season, by the way!). So any "ghetto" connotations (please note that I do not think sports jerseys are necessarily ghetto, but it was pointed out to me on your previous thread that others do!) would still apply. 2) People that are really into sports will ask you where "Rodarte" is! 3) I still say, why pay so much for a fake (real Rodarte, but fake sporty) jersey if you are a real sports fan? 4) I am biased because I really hate the idea of big logos. For example, Banana Republic is my personal favorite store (not high fashion, but great for petites like me!), but I wouldn't plaster their name on my chest, ya know?

That being said, I will use your style as inspiration to dress up my own (non-ghetto) 49ers jerseys next season. GO NINERS! :-) Plus I'm glad you like your purchase. That's what really matters anyway!

P.S. I want your lacey sneakers.

  • Debra replied 10 years ago

    This looks great :)

  • Mo replied 10 years ago

So much fun!  I missed the contention.  Loving the outdoor shots!

  • Gracie replied 10 years ago

What great styling - I love the full layered first shot, where the trench is billowing and I can see peeks of white and blue, makes me want to keep looking! I like the jersey, I think it's a fab piece, no issues, no questions :)

  • Claudia replied 10 years ago

Very well done. I like how you've styled this better than your Pinterest inspirations. Fun outfit that looks great on you. No VS Pink Varsity vibe going on here.

  • rachylou replied 10 years ago

Just incredible. The look is fan-tastic!

Ha! I knew this jersey would rock.

  • Karie replied 10 years ago

I think this looks fantastic and fun! I missed the contention post. The shoes, bag, and leather skinnies are a great combo for the jersey. And if sports jersey's look ghetto, I guess it's a good thing I teach in the 'hood because I had one on yesterday (Phila. Phillies, my childhood hometown team) :)

  • Deborah replied 10 years ago

I must have missed our original jersey post.  Anna you have such a gift for styling.  Sports style clothing is completely off my radar but you rock this look.  I think Angie is right about the button down.  The look is interesting and of course fashion forward.  You look comfortable and this all totally works.

  • Helena replied 10 years ago

    LOVE!

  • carambola replied 10 years ago

Wow. Love it with the white shirt and tuxedo jacket.

  • Jenava replied 10 years ago

I think it's cute and whimsical, and suits your personality and style.  (-:  You are a genius, as always.

  • ironkurtin replied 10 years ago

I really love everything - except the Rodarte top.  I'm sorry, I just have such a poison eye for 1) sports jerseys and 2) big brand names on clothes.  Tell you what, wear it with your harem jeans and really nuke me!

Like alaskagirl says, you look really happy, that is what matters.

  • replied 10 years ago

You look like you are totally enjoying yourself so that sells it for me.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 10 years ago

Your fearless and creative approach to fashion both amazes me and makes me smile Anna. I love this!

  • Sveta replied 10 years ago

This outfit is completely opposite from my style but it is so cool I kind of covet it. :-) Only you Anna can combine all these  trendy pieces in one outfit in such an effortless and natural way!
I am also envious of your winter weather...

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

You are so inspiring!  I knew you would look amazing in this.  I am so glad you got it.  I like the tonal black approach you took, it's elegant.

  • Jaime replied 10 years ago

What I see is a big graphic black/white blue top over a white collar and I love that. The branding doesn't bother me because you have to put something there - it is amusing this way. If anything I would want to see a more streamlined bag to put all the focus on what's going on with jersey over collar.

  • Nicole D replied 10 years ago

Best. Outfit. Ever.  Fab with a capital fab.  Every piece is special but nothing jumps out.  You have arrived, baby!

  • Emily replied 10 years ago

I LOVE it with the collar and statement necklace!  I'm so glad you went for the jersey, you look awesome in it.

  • Inge replied 10 years ago

I'm echoing Angie here: the white shirt makes this outfit a real winner for me. I also adore those animal print laceless sneakers.

  • viva replied 10 years ago

I just love that you did your own thing. That's what fashion is, for me anyway - each person expressing her own creativity, the rest of us be damned.
My aim is to care less about what other people think about how I look, frankly. (Which is weird to say on a forum built around WIWs, actually.)
    Cheers to you, Anna.

  • Missey replied 10 years ago

I knew you could nail this look to the floor, however I did not expect a jaw dropping, knock it out of the pak, oh my gawd I cannot stop looking at you outfit!  You look beyond amazing, your combinations in this outfit are fresh, proportionate and so interesting! The little details are perfect; the white button up, statement necklace, lace sneakers combined with the jersey are perfection.
    I applaud you.

    PS  Mad photog skillz too!
