WIW 2/17 Midi skirt with socks

I was inspired by this pin that showed a midi skirt with ankle socks.

Undercover BRUIT beanie, Fallon brass and navy leather choker, Kenzo flying tiger sweater, Acne Merci jacket, Acne zip front midi, blue tie dye socks, Acne glitter giant tassel loafers and Lanvin bag.
I think was overestimating my cold tolerance as it was quite cold and windy at the park photo site.

You look so cold, Anna!  Why the bare legs?!  Tell me you put on leggings or something!

    One woman's midi is another's mini ;)

I love the bright blue shoes/socks with the tiger topper and beanie.

p.s. I love the whole socks and skirts thing. I keep buying socks at Target because I think it's so cute...

You do look cold!  Fun blue socks, and love the jacket!

Love this look but you do look cold!

I want to love this combo but am thrown by the open zippered skirt with zipper jacket...too much repetition for me.  I love the idea of a midi skirt with this combo, but without the big slit up front, just a "plain" skirt.  I always love your fashion fearlessness and am impressed by your variety of style combinations.

PS  hope you went somewhere warm after your photo shoot to show off your cool togs!

The background is great here -- I am so impressed that you are taking pictures outside now, I have gotten lazy about that.

I love this.  I wonder if you could get away with black tights (you could experiment with the right degree of sheerness or opaqueness).  Just add them to the mix, don't lose the socks.  That way you would be a lot warmer.

And, I really want an Acne moto after seeing yours.  Or, at least one from BLK DNM.

Dang, it was freezing out! I'm not sure how you manged bare legs ;) Your outfit is great, Anna, but I would have probably picked one of your other skirts. that center front slit bothers me a bit. LOVE the sweater.

Whoa!! I didn't see that one coming :)

Now if I take away the cold factor ... And imagine this on a mannequin ... Then I love it :). That skirt is really cool ... But I would be too conscious to wear it!! I think you pull it off though. The shoes and socks bookend your beanie very well. Great choice of colors. I think this is sexy cool. I like it.

The other warming idea I had was to cocoon yourself in a giant coat, then you could flash those gams selectively, as in when the sun peeks.  I can't remember if you have an oversized coat?

What a fab outfit.  Anna I have a secret love the socks and shoe look but suspect I would just look stupid if I tried it lol.   The background is sensational.  What time of day to you do the photos?  Are there many people around?  I like in an incredibly beautiful town but am such a scaredy cat and haven't ventured further than my back yard.

Lovely setting and fun outfit with cool blue shoes. I hope you were able to stay warm enough!

Brr, it looks cold. I love the socks, shoe, skirt combo, reminds me of the 90's. Plus, I had so much fun going through your pins. So many fun, interesting looks.

Anna you take risks and it pays off.

Like Deborah I always like a socks with flats but fear looking ridiculous. Well I love the blues with the midi, the background is fantastic, and I will overlook the coldness factor.

Nice! The blue is excellent - hmmm I was just toying with the idea of socks and shoes. I am inspired, thanks!

dang love this one! i really like the skirt with the jacket, it takes the 'matchy' idea of a suit and tosses it entirely on it's head :)

i don't think you look all that cold. The background looks just great with that outfit - a fab balance of echoing and contrast.  i've tried cocolion's cocooning coat strategy before and think it's great. Happy Day! steph
