WIW 7/22 Blogged inspired, partially negative

So I saw this outfit by Queen Michelle of Kingdom of Style, and realized I could do a variation. Except that my jersey is black, so I chose my white leather moto.

I also agree with her assessment of All Saints.
Wearing Kenna T white leather moto, Rodarte jersey, Charlotte Ronson harem shorts, Balcienaga Ceinture cut-out boots and Zara acrylic box purse.
Off to get glitter manicure for the wedding reception.

    You look wonderful.

I prefer your outfit with the column of color and that FAB white moto! (I remember you buying that box purse at our meet-up.)

Your hair looks pretty! Enjoy your manicure!

    Killer

I LOVE the neon clutch with the look.

I don't get which part is negative, Anna?

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

Negative, as in photographic negative. Black is white, white is black. Which I just realized is an ancient reference, given that no one uses film these days.

So fun! Not the type of negativity I was expecting, this is much better -- "inverted" sounds prettier ;) Also I LOVE the bright bits of neon here (lips, bag). Thanks also for the link, I had to check out her link to the brand Whistles and found a pretty excellent black biker jacket that's sooo close to one I've had in my head for years.

I like your inversion/partial negative! Your hair also fits in with the flip -- nice. And yeah, I've also noted a shift with All Saints :/

AH! Reversed...inverted.  Got it.  I love it, Anna, especially the shorts and shoes combo.  It feels so punk, but not recycled punk. Totally modern punk.

    Absolutely love, especially #1. Stunning!

This is great! Love both your version and the inspiration.

I still shop at AS but I know what you mean. I miss the crazy victoriana bubble skirt era. I have a dress from back then that takes 15 minutes to put on each and every time because I can never figure out how it's supposed to wrap and tie.

Aha. I do really love this! Enjoy your manicure :)

This looks like a great outfit to kick around in.

A fun look!  I like the bit of yellow from the bag.  Is that turquoise around the numbers?  A turquoise shoe or bag could also be fun in a remix look.

Fantastic! I love the neon bag with your outfit.

Love, love this and the clutch is the perfect accent.

I love this one, Anna! And negative, as in reversed, you're right, it is an ancient metaphor, now.

I got the negative allusion, once I saw the inspiration pic. This outfit is so fab on you! I prefer your "negative" version. Your hair is a negative version of the inspiration blogger's, too (I see I'm not the first to notice). Maybe that's partly why the white jacket is especially stunning on you.

Killer fantabulous Anna. I love this look. I feel technically this fits the JFE category but I find it so appealing. I am dying to find harem shorts for our summer.
