So I was inspired by this blogger look I pinned.

Target mixed chain and pearl necklace, black/grey/white plaid shirt, silver leather twisted All Saints skirt, and Lanvin patent leather smoking slippers.

Anna I love this! The skirt is great on you and the shoes to die for! I love the plaid shirt with it too. Hope the wine party was wonderful!

Anna, you looked great!! Love the juxtaposition of the silvery skirt and the more casual top. And I prefer your skirt to the blogger's by about 300 per cent!

I really like this look on you - I love the plaid casual of the top with the bold red lip! And you look really happy! :)

    Hope the wine was yummy!

That skirt is amazing! And if I had legs like yours I would wear short skirts all the time.
The combination of the casual plaid shirt with the metallic skirt strikes just the right chord for a wine party.
I'm swooning over the smoking slippers!
    Hope it went well!

Love the flannel with the silver metallic skirt!  You really look great Anna!

I love it.  That skirt is amazing; I can't remember seeing it before.  Have a blast!

(I'm drinking homebrew tonight and dyeing my hair while helping DH assemble IKEA furniture - does that count as a wine party? And no, there will not be a WIW!)

Awesome interpretation of the outfit!  Kinda off topic, but I find 19yo bloggers talking about their worldliness sort of annoying.  ;)
So, on to the wine party - did you have fun?  Was your date having a good time too?  What was the favorite pour?
I've always wanted to do this sort of thing, but living out of town, no one will come to my place and then have to pay for a $45+ cab ride back home lol!  The closest we come is bringing bottles to a friend's bbq.

Love your outfit. Hope you had a great time!

I love how that plaid shirt and that silver skirt go together. That skirt is a piece. I wouldn't have known it was leather but I did wonder how it has such structure. Oh yeah, I meant to write on your other thread regarding the wine party, invite me! Hope you had a wonderful time. How was it?

  • Ariadne replied 10 years ago
Oh, and I meant to say you look a hundred times better than the blogger in the pin that inspired you. :)

I just love that skirt and your styling with the plaid shirt is wonderful. I like you version better than the inspiration. Hope you had a fun time.

So unexpected, the plaid shirt with drapey skirt, but it looks great!
  • Hil replied 10 years ago
I definitely love your version more than the blogger's! Hope you had an awesome time!

The mix of casual plaid with shiny-bustled-metal and designer flats is very 2013 and utterly fab! Well done :)

Did you have a fun evening? Hope so!

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I had invited over ten people, but only three showed up. We did have some good wines. I now have a ton of left over food though.

Fab outfit!  That skirt is so fantastic, and pairing it with the casual NW grunge shirt along with the preppy loafers is so unexpected.  And I love the Target necklace, happy to see you wearing it again.

Loving the relaxed, but still creative effect here, Anna.  And look look particularly beautiful today!
  • catgirl replied 10 years ago
Only three!?!  No RSVPs?  I would have been there!

Absolutely love this look.  Have we seen the skirt before?  You must share such items here - I am smitten.

Dang, that skirt is smokin' on you! Totally loving the contrast between that and the plaid top. You seriously need to wear this again sometime. I'd add it to the date outfit file fo sho.

you look lovely.  was the friendly guy there?
  • Adelfa replied 10 years ago
Incredibly adorable. One of my favorites of yours ever.  And yes, great legs.

Well, that skirt is gorgeous on you, and I love how you've styled it with the plaid and smoking slippers. I am smiling, too, at your incorporation of items from Target to Lanvin and in between! You are a creative beauty.
Small, intimate wine-tasting party works, too! Hope you had a really nice time.

Love your skirt! So pretty, and the shoes are fabulous too.
  • Kari replied 10 years ago
Beautiful - that skirt is dynamite!

How annoying, what happened to the other guests? Sometimes small parties can be more fun, but you need kind of a critical mass to taste several wines.
