So this is finally what I settled on for Rockabilly, Blues and Burlesque show. I had some awesome nylons that had black stars scattered across a nude background but I put a hole in them putting them on. They were brand new. So I reverted to the fishnets. Worn with my found black suede shorts, semi-sheer Acne blouse and fringe suede boots. Underneath I'm wearing a Marlie Dekkers bra that has multiple straps and hardware on it. This is defnitiely not everyone's cup of tea but I think it works for the event.
Appropriately enough my red lipstick is Moulin Rouge by MakeUpForever.

Good grief Anna - this is HOT!!! Seriously, I love this outfit. It's totally appropriate for the occasion and extremely flattering IMO. You've got great legs, so why not show them off? And I love the Dekkers bra showing through - it's got enough coverage and has a look that works perfectly with the outfit. And that is too ironic to be wearing Moulin Rouge lipstick! Have a great time.

I think this is great! The bra showing through and the shorts look perfect from a night out - because the bra is visible but covered, and the shorts are matched with flats you look sophisticated rather than overly risque. But still gorgeous!

Perfect! That MD bra was made for this occasion. Very sassy with the shorts and tights - both classier and edgier than it would have been with a miniskirt, I think. Have a blast!

This is so great!! Love that you are getting a chance to show off that great bra in a subtle way. And the whole outfit is fab. What a shame about the starry stockings. I hate when that happens. I did the same thing with a brand new pair the other day. Hope you had fun!

This is superb, Anna! The bra is so perfect here under the sheer blouse - sexy but not over the top, and I agree it is so much more interesting with shorts than a miniskirt.

Perfect for a Burlesque Show! I like a bit of bra peaking through like that, Anna - when it's clearly part of the outfit. People go out to dinner wearing beautiful bras under sheer tops no problem in Paris. I find it very tasteful.

I love it! The venue + this make perfect sense and it is fun and flirty. I think the substance of the bra--the fact that it is clearly intended to be a statement wit the top--takes it over the top. A regular black bra would have been lovely, but this one makes it brilliant!

Thanks everyone. I had an interesting evening. Totally unexpected but the guy that I flirted and danced with on the party boat was there. We chatted quite a bit. Didn't dance unfortunately, the music was a bit hard to dance to anyways. I also had some very strange ex-army try and chat me up.
