WIW 3/24, in which something is actually worn out

So these jeans are from the Gap, they're about five years old. I got them when boyfriend jeans were first trending, and I didn't want to invest a lot in a trend I wasn't sure about. They were before Gap came out with Sexy Boyfriend, this was when only Current/Elliott had made boyfriend jeans. Well today I lost the button, luckily I was wearing a belt.
Wearing Acne pony hair hat, Alexander McQueen scarf, Kenzo sweatshirt, Nanette Lepore leather jacket, studded belt, Gap jeans, and Balcienaga Ceinture boots.
Bonus shots from hiking to Wallace Falls on Sunday.

    Wow, two amazing natural phenomena!

In all seriousness, it really does make you think -- how seldom does this truly happen (at least with halfway decent quality clothing.) We're very lucky.

Glad you managed to keep your pants on -- and that is a spectacular view.

Gosh, I love that pony hair hat more every time. Wearing out an item gives me a strange sense of achievement, it's so rare these days.

    Also envying your hike.

Amazing view, kudos to you for getting outside and enjoying life!

I was thinking similar thoughts the other day about wearing out clothes. I actually don't get much wear on my clothes or shoes, but that's only because when I find a workhorse, I really work them to death! I think I need to spread out the stress on my wardrobe. ;-)

My Gap bfs are also among my most worn items. You look great and the hike too!

Boy you take good pics! 5 yrs you say? What was the line in Devil Wears Prada about the life cycle of a fashion idea? That's a pretty healthy life. Good to know. Hate to be wasteful ;)

Another great outfit - gorgeous jacket, boots, and scarf. My Gap BF's are my favorite jeans. When I find a pair of pants (jeans or otherwise) that I love, I absolutely wear them out as it's so hard for me to find a pair that fits well without needing major alterations.

Fantastic scenery shots! I can't wait for the weather to warm up a little so I can get out and on the trails.

Beautiful shots of Wallace Falls. That first one should be framed. I Iove your relaxed, casual outfit. Even though the jeans are 5 years old, they still look fabulous. Your scarf is gorgeous.

Great outfit. I love the pop of color provided by the scarf!

I'm having trouble seeing your outfit Anna 'cause I'm mesmerized by the scenery with NO SNOW!!!

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

Those boots are so your look, I can't stand it.

Killer. Loving the pops of white belt and bright scarf. And you were made to wear hats.

  • Marmee replied 10 years ago

Love the outfit, and your belt is killer.  I've had buttons on jeans replaced successfully, in case you can't bear to part with the jeans yet!

How great that you got out while it was sunny and warm!

Gorgeous nature shots. You look amazing in your BFs and gear!

  • Kiwichik replied 10 years ago

Drooling over the boots you're wearing and those in the background. The BFs still look good. That scenery is spectacular thanks for sharing.

Love this look! One of my favorites!

Oooh, love those boots!  They are amazing!  I think you get an "I Win" token when you actually wear out an item of clothing. It really does mean that you selected a style that suited you, and it was a piece of clothing you enjoyed and wore the heck out of. All in, that's a huge win both for style and budget.

Gorgeous hiking shots. Really makes me miss the Pacific Northwest.
