WIW 9/21 School doors

Found a middle school near my massage place Sunday morning. I liked the dark red doors. Though I hope I got it straight, hard to line up with the door, realizing I'm not always straight on my deck pics. Looking at pics, I'm a little off, oh well, perils of the tripod. Least my lipstick matched the doors.
Wearing Zara pearl and rhinestone collar, Rodarte for Target striped tee, R13 waxed cross-over jeans,  white suede Acne Studios Pistol boots, and Alexander Wang bag.
I had time to kill between when I took the pictures and my massage. I sat outside at a Starbucks, unseasonably warm weather in Seattle. I was in Queen Anne, a pretty expensive neighborhood, on the main drag. People wear dressed very casual. Lots of yoga gear, unironic normcore and of course Seahawks jerseys because there was a game today. It made me realize that sometimes I exist in my own personal fashion bubble, and definitely defy the norm.

Really like the collar and the cross-over jeans!

Why does every middle school in America have the exact same doors? I think mine might have been blue, but otherwise everything looked exactly the same.

    Ab-normcore? I likes it!!!

    Great black and white outfit.

You look like a stylish princess. I would never think to put a fancy color with a striped tee but the finished product looks so polished and just so FUN!

Oh my goodness, you look really beautiful. One of my favs. Love the striking white boots, awesome jeans, stripes and gorgeous collar! Love the way you have dressed up stripes!
One hundred times better then normcore sweats!

I think your hair adds to the princess look that people are mentioning here. You look so elegant and cool all at once. I love the touches of the collar, the high bun, your red lipstick. And I'm drooling over the bag--I don't think I've seen an outfit of yours with it before. The crossover jeans are really fab on you.

Ok...my gave fave look...I like seeing Anna in the wild going about your stylish business.

The collar looks so cool with this outfit Anna.  I wonder if most of us here don't live in our little fashion bubbles.  What I see here on the forum is outstanding compared to people on the street where I live.  I think we are a very unique group of individuals.

Another fantastic outfit! Maybe you will inspire some people on the streets.

The black and white outfit really pops against the red doors. I love the collar with this outfit.

I love how the collar gives the illusion of a cut out striped tee :). I love how a well dressed person always turns heads and I love to be in that position every now and then. And I am sure you turn a lot of heads everyday .... That's a good thing right? :)

Perhaps you are ahead of the crowd, Anna, but you look FABULOUS! Queen Anne is not worthy...(P.S. I really like your up-do. It is wonderful.)

Oh, Anna! This just takes my breath away! You look totally bloggertastic!

  • catgirl replied 9 years ago

The pants! I love them and they just will never fit me.   Yes, very urban princess with an edge.

  • Cerinda replied 9 years ago

No princess: the middle-schoolers' favorite teacher, the cool one.  And I love the conversation the boots and collar are having.

    Killer. xo

Love the t, collar and jeans - super cool - and great hair with it too !

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

    Oh wow so cool

  • Elly replied 9 years ago

This is a fun one-- the collar is something else (and I like the look), but without it this would be another very approachable but you outfit.

As far as the yoga stuff goes, I always wonder . . . do people do this because they are lazy or because it is part of their fantasy life?

Love this look.  Just spit my tea out laughing on "non ironic norm core"  :)

  • K. Period. replied 9 years ago

Not so much a bubble as a visible field of awesomeness that radiates out in defiance of all norm core wearers, ironic or not.  You look gorgeous!

  • Marley replied 9 years ago

OK - this outfit is blowingmeaway!  It should be a fashion spread in a magazine.  Unbelieveably cool - everything about it oozes STYLE and confidence.  LOVE it!

    ETA:

I think I could copy you on this - if I could only find my striped shirt - it has disappeared in my closet somewhere!  Oh, and I'd have to buy a collar necklace - but no biggy!  :-)  And, of course the boots.

Well, maybe I can't copy you - but I wanna'!

Wonderful!!  Love, love those R13's and they look fantastic on you!!  Glad you live in your personal fashion bubble!!  It's an inspiration!!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

OK, I spoke too soon on your other outfit thread when I said that it was one of my favorites. Because this outfit is. Or they both are. And yay for defying the norm!

  • cheryle (Dianthus) replied 9 years ago

I know this thread is a few days old but I was out of town and not online much so am just seeing it.

Anna, this is one of the best of the best you have ever posted.  It is extremely flattering and has the edge that is your style.  Wow is all I can say.
