  I prefer this version too, Anna. The top is more covered - which to my eye, is a nicer juxtaposition with the short shorts. Plus the shoes are killer pretty - and launched me into orbit. (I personally prefer softer looks anyway - so I'm biased). xo

  I always like the softer colors on you, so flattering.  And how fun are those shoes, with the bright strap!  I really enjoy the subtle fun touches in this outfit with the necklace, the material on the shorts and the strap on the shoes.

  I think you find the right balance for you.  I'm in a similar boat.  I like edge, but don't want to look like the middle aged equivalent of Hot Topic either, Ha!
  Buttoned up tops aren't my thing but I can appreciate it here on you.  The shoes are the real winners.  So ladylike against the leather and army shirt.  Nice!

  I like this so much – the contrast of the "rough" army shirt with the dressy shorts and gorgeous shoes looks perfect, keeps the eye moving to check everything twice.

  I think the shoes are just perfect with this!  You're right, just a hint of pretty really makes this outfit shine.  The orange ankle straps are almost like jewelry but less fussy.  Love the bookending with the orange lipstick too.

  Wow, those shoes are beautiful! I love this outfit. Everything about it. The ladylike shoes are a nice juxtaposition with the shorts. Top is great, too.

  Gorgeous outfit, and it does look very harmonious on you. (I really liked the other outfit, though, too--I think it was especially good for a warmer day, with exposed arms.) I noticed the same thing Jackie did--the nice echo of your lip color with the ankle strap on those beautiful shoes.

  Love this!  The shoe strap and your make up echo each other nicely.  I like the other tough outfit too, can not pick a favorite.

  There is so much that is just right about this. Starting with your shoes, which match your lips! You may be the one person that can pull those shorts off to perfection!
