WIW 7/10 For a long drive

Today is my dad's birthday. Due to staffing schedules at work I didn't know if I was going to be able to visit him until Monday. Going home for a few days.
Wearing silk and leather cream jacket, Target lace t-shirt with camisole, AG ex-boyfriend denim shorts and Matt Bernson gladiator sandals. I'd think it look great with my Isabel Marant dirty white studded boots, but it'd be too hot for Eastern Washington.

Fab! I could see myself wearing something like this. I love it on you!

Pretty and summery! Have a good drive and visit!

You look great for a casual day. I like the sandals with the shorts and tee because that's more summery than boots to my eye (but I live where summers are very hot so boots always make me think of sweaty feet. I know many people on the forum have much cooler summers and boots are weather appropriate, but that's where I'm coming from).

You look great! Have a great time with your dad and enjoy the dry heat and the smell of the ponderosa pines!

Breezy, relaxed and with fun textural interest from the lacy top. Drive safely, Anna and have a great time with your Dad (happy birthday Anna's Dad).

Love those shoes!  You really do have the best shoes!  Jacket is just lovely too. Love the cream color on you.

I would be great with the boots but I like the gladiators too. They are a bit softer look. Great high low mix with the lace T!

  • MNsara replied 10 years ago

Yes, the boots would look great, but the sandals are perfectly summery - as is the white jacket.  Enjoy the time away and celebrating with your dad :-)

Every piece is great. Really love the sandals on you, and the leather and lace.

You look great. Stylish and comfy for a drive. I bet the boots would be good but I really like the sandals. You need to be cool. Love the lace in your top BTW.

  • Ginkgo replied 10 years ago

Look in' good. The neckline of the top is very flattering on you.

You find the best stuff at Target Anna. It's a testament to your inner stylist. I love the way your put this outfit together, and the sandals add a nice edge, given that it's too warm for boots. Have fun with your Dad.

Cute. Gald you are getting to see your dad.

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

Thanks everyone. The jacket only stayed on until I got over the Cascades. It's really hot over here.

    Perfect :)

I was going to ask you if you took the jacket off to drive!  Love the look.

You look great! Casual but pulled together. I really like the sandals with the outfit. I have sandal envy because I can't wear that style. Have fun with your Dad. Happy birthday to him. :)

Hope you had a safe, easy drive home!  I could see this with the boots, too, but a good gladiator sandal should be enjoyed when Summer is flourishing!

OK -- what's the difference between "boyfriend" shorts and "ex" boyfriend shorts?

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

They were labeled ex-boyfriend by the manufacturer.
