WIW 6/8 culottes, take 2

I really like the culottes. Though my friend yesterday didn't like them.
Today with a Truth & Pride leather moto vest, Rodarte for Target striped tee, LD Tuttle sandals and PS1.
I thought about a necklace, tried one and didn't like it so no jewelry except my watch.
Photos taken at Fisherman's Terminal.

I like how you've styled them! Love the backdrop! Culottes are tough for me bc I wore them to death as a child. I like how you've made them look so current.

    Hey Anna,
I had a failure of imagination and was a "nay" vote in your original poll.  You are a genius stylist (my fave was yesterday) and you have changed my mind.
I am willing to eat crow or wear a crow feather boa.
If I saw you on the street I would think you were super cool (and pretty!)

Oooh, I love these!!! I didn't think that pastel blue culottes could translate in your wardrobe, but clearly, you've pulled it off again, Anna. I adore this outfit!

And another amazing culottes look! I haven't found my proper pair yet (eying a couple to try soon though), but I'm saving this for future inspiration. The moto vest and sandals add just the right touch of hardness, and the classic striped tee is a perfect grounding item. And also fun that you're at the marina with it ;)

I love those sandals so much.

You had me with the yellow. Is that weird?

Another fabulous look with those killer culottes. I love their low contrast against your skin tone, and the way you added the classic stripe and flat sandals.

    Ha, Angie!

As soon I saw the yellow boat I knew I had to take the picture there for you. Even though I don't wear yellow.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

That's extra fun. I'll wear yellow for you - and you can wear mint for me. Was the boat in Ballard or East Lake?

  • annagybe replied 9 years ago

Fishemen's Terminal, it is in Magnolia, on the south side of the ship canal from Ballard.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

Ah. I know where that is. We should a fashion shoot there too.

I think the culottes are fantastic. I have a pair from several years ago and I'm wondering if they should make a reappearance.

I love this outfit on you, Anna. Such a different feel than the first one, and equally fab or maybe even more so. The stripes with the moto vest and the awesome bag and sandals really go well together, and the black gives a touch vibe that goes nicely with the distressing on the culottes. And you're wearing those sunglasses that I love on you.

Another great culottes look! I love the contrast of the stripes with the leather vest and fabulous sandals. And location!

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Seriously fab. I am with Angie -- the colour of these is perfect on you. Great styling once again.

Even better than yesterday, if such a thing were possible.  And man!  You need a second career as a fashion photographer!

I love this rendition too!  Go team wear.

    I like the culottes :)

Anna, you've been posting outfits lately which i would wear as exact copies, full stop! It's wonderful and also highly unusual, i can go years without seeing ANYTHING i would copy, though i regularly (but not that often) see personally inspiring looks. I love the stripes and the overall low-contrast to this look (which would work great on my own low contrast coloring, very similar to yours) with just the right amount of black for a good, defining-not-overwhelming punch.

I'm especially loving these culottes as i have a length of denim chambray which i'd bleached out with a bit of splottling, i was a going back and forth over what to make it up into and i'm very much leaning towards a fuller midi seeing how flexible these are in your looks.

Your other culotte look just knocked me right out, those graphics and the elbow length sleeves on the top! (swoons - grab the smelling salts!) I have dress i made with graphic style writing on it and i really enjoy it, seeing that look on you has encouraged me to go on the hunt for more.

And the 5/29 knicker bocker look - okay, skip the flowery stuff can i just steal that right now? ;) i love the way you've used very edgy, fashion-forward pieces to create a romantic, modest, almost little lord flaunteroy look. It's even more fantastic with your hair up, i could even see it with a nude or your-mouth-but-better lip and a slightly smoky eye - to emphasize the air of romance and mystery you create withe antique references and buttoned-up collar.

Anyways, just had to gush! Thank you and keep having fun girl!!! your fan, steph
