WIW 5/24 preppy grunge

Going to one man act of vaudeville and cabaret.  Isabel Marant navy blazer, ALC twisted hem striped sweater, True Religion destroyed jeans and Isabel Marant dirty white boots. This time I decided to use the red lipstick.

Yes, yes, yes! I love it -- and the red lipstick is perfect with the trim on your spiffy jacket. Have fun!

Love! This jacket is outstanding! And vaudeville/cabaret pretty much calls for red lips.

I like the red lips!  It looks good with the crisp top portion of your outfit and the distressed bottom portion.

The distressed jeans make the outfit! Have fun tonight!

I love the versatility of the jacket. YLF - the red lips look great.

  • missvee replied 10 years ago

That is the coolest jacket - so versatile and interesting.

LOL when I saw your title I thought "preppy-grunge, how is that possible", but you did it! Very cute!

It seems to me you  could pull this lovely outfit in either direction. Swap for boat shoes and you are more preppy. Or keep boots and adorn jacket with multiple macaroons, buttons or pins and you are more grunge.

Beautiful - but of course I would love it. Drool over the jacket. Loving the red lip too.

This is fabulous, both fierce and sweet.

FAB!!! love this look on you!
and the red lips are perfect, a subtle pick up of the red accents in the jacket

Love this outfit!  Glad you are getting so much wear out of your incredible jacket!   LOVE the combo of grunge + preppy, holes + military.  So creative!

    KILLER

One of my Anna faves!! I just love the classic stripe under that blazer, and the white boots make the whole outfit look fresh :) xo

Thanks everyone. I was originally going to do a dressier outfit, but it was too cold. Everyone was pretty casual at the event.
The act was pretty funny. It's running through this weekend here in Seattle.

I'm bestowing a new title upon you, Anna: Queen KILLER Theatrical Style. It's literal in a few ways :)

Back to our usual cold Spring weather. *eyes rolling big time*

That gorgeous jacket is one of your best buys ever Anna - it looks fabulous in every outfit I've seen it in and can be dressed up, down, grunge or conservative. Plus it's got a real timeless quality about it - I suspect you'll still love it and wear it a several seasons from now.

Fantastic how the white striped tee and white boots lighten the overall outfit to look spring like despite your poopy weather.

Anna, I've been meaning to ask you. Do you have a set of current favourite wardrobe items?

  • Marley replied 10 years ago

Like this outfit very much!  And your hair is perfect!

  • annagybe replied 10 years ago

Not yet Angie, though I should develop one. This blazer would definitely be on such a list, as well as my Improvd woven leather moto and my white leather moto.

  • Angie replied 10 years ago

Ah! I thought this jacket might make the faves cut - and the white leather moto :).

  • CocoLion replied 10 years ago

This is perfect!  You own this look.  The rebellious, deconstructed prepster is so you.

I LOVE THIS OUTFIT TO BITS!

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago
