WIW 4/20 To GO to Easter Brunch

So I was supposed to meet a bunch of friends at an Easter brunch. But I got the time all mixed up and missed it. :(
Anyways the barista at the local coffee shop said I looked nice and a woman on the street said I looked very Easter-y. Tried to put my hair in a donut, but next time I need to get a smaller one. My hair doesn't quite cover it.
Wearing By Malene Birger sweatshirt and matching pencil skirt. Maison Martin Margiela tabi boot and LAMB clutch.
Sorry for the harsh light.

ETA So I thought I missed it but my friends texted me while I posting this and I hightailed to the restaurant, and made it for the second half. Hooray! Also I did my grocery shopping afterwards and I got carded buying a bottle of wine.

Love this. I'm glad you got the sweatshirt/skirt combo - it's very you. Sorry that you missed brunch - I hate it when I do that.

  • ironkurtin replied 9 years ago

You look lovely!  There will be another brunch.

  • Laura (rhubarbgirl) replied 9 years ago

Very nice - I like your hair up like that.

  • Angie replied 9 years ago

(That's too bad. Oh well. Next time).

Killer two-piece frock. LOVE it with the bag.

  • rabbit replied 9 years ago

You look smashing, the bag and outfit are so great together.  Also your hair looks cute.  Bummer about brunch but hope you have a fun day.

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

So fantastic, the two-piece dress, brunch or no brunch. I could use a zillion. I adore it with the shoes. They're perfect with each other.

  • jackiec replied 9 years ago

So spring-like! The black boots are unexpected and work amazingly well!!!

  • Phatgranny replied 9 years ago

You look radiant --  such a gorgeous outfit on you.  Admittedly, much of your style is alien to me -- not that I dislike it; in fact, I appreciate very much your sense of adventure, spirit and fun when it comes to your style.  Very often I just feel out of my element with regard to commenting on your outfits.  It's difficult to critique something with which I am so unfamiliar.  This outfit, I get and I love it, especially with the touches of black.  Your hair and makeup are stunning.

Gosh you look fab! Love the two piece outfit. Shame about the brunch. I did the same thing a while back. I though the lunch I was going to was on a Friday until I got a text from my friend on a Thursday asking where I was :(

  • Eliza replied 9 years ago

Love the 2 pieces together and the bag is perfection with it. I like that the look simultaneously feels retro and yet completely 2014.

  • Sharon replied 9 years ago

Wow, I love this! It has just the right mix of trendy and prim for my tastes. And  putting it with black booties looks fab. I like your hair up-you have such a pretty face and I think the simplicity looks good against the texture of the dress.

  • Andrea W replied 9 years ago

Very nice - you look fresh and stylish. Love those boots too.

  • Gigi replied 9 years ago

Very Eastery indeed! Nice outfit. Fresh and light and springy. I like the two-piece better in action...I voted it as too matchy-matchy in the fitting room. Sometimes fitting rooms are like alternate universes!

I'm so sorry you missed your brunch! What a downer for Easter. :^(

  • donnat replied 9 years ago

My reply disappeared? I am sorry you missed your brunch. You look really nice. The 2 pc dress looks fresh and springy. I also think the pink lipstick looks awsome on you.

  • pil replied 9 years ago

Sorry you missed your brunch, but at least you can wear it and look just as fabulous the next time you get together!

  • merwoman replied 9 years ago

So fresh and modern - love this on you Anna!

  • unfrumped replied 9 years ago

Rats! I've done that too. Where were you hiding this fantastic combo? So chic.

  • trying... replied 9 years ago

Nice way to do matching 2-piece. I'd have incorporated more color either in the bag or the shoe to balance the boldness of the lip but cute overall. I have to admit I can't stop looking at those boots. They aren't my style at all but very interesting.

  • Diana replied 9 years ago

You look amazing.  The 2 piece dress is great on its own, but I think the accessories (boots, clutch, lipstick) really take it to the next level.

  • carambola replied 9 years ago

Beautiful! Love the unexpected boots pairing. Glad you made it to part of the brunch - that outfit deserves to be seen!

  • Karie replied 9 years ago

I love the sweatshirt and matching pencil skirt. Very current and stylish!

  • Parsley replied 9 years ago

    SWOON!
You look so gorgeous in that outfit! I think it's my favorite thing you've ever worn.
Your hair looks elegant in your holiday updo, too!

  • Janet replied 9 years ago

I'm glad you got to join your friends! Fab outfit and brilliant Anna-esque styling.

  • rachylou replied 9 years ago

Oh that's great you got to show off to your friends :)

  • DonnaF replied 9 years ago

Young lady, so glad you made it to the brunch in your oh-so-fresh new outfit!  And you should really stop using that fake ID to buy wine.  <gr>

  • Suz replied 9 years ago

Oh, Anna!! This is so creative and clever. I am glad you found your friends so they could see. Look at you -- you are the sweet Easter lamb and the "black sheep" all at once. The outfit is fab with the bag...and the little "hooves" are the perfect fun and tough juxtaposition to all the softness and texture.

  • LACeleste replied 9 years ago

Wonderful happy outcome!  You really do look extra great Anna!

  • Jaime replied 9 years ago

Gorgeous! Love! Glad you made it for the second half.

  • Debra replied 9 years ago

You look fantastic, glad you made it in the end.
I love everything you are wearing here, gorgeous suit, fabulous bag and boots to die for and your hair looks lovely :)

  • Kiwichik replied 9 years ago

Well if that doesn't say spring I don't know what does.

  • rae replied 9 years ago

I remember when you posted about this set, and wow it looks so much better on you than in the original pic. Too bad about missing brunch, but now you can wear it again right away with no one the wiser. :)

  • Deborah replied 9 years ago

Anna, I must apologise! I was uncertain when you showed us this outfit in the dressing room but WOW it looks amazing on you. Your hair pulled back and your general styling knocks this out of the ballpark. You look beautiful.

  • CocoLion replied 9 years ago

I really really love this.  The MM booties make it soooo edgy.  And wow, getting carded, that is the ULTIMATE compliment...

  • Aubergine replied 9 years ago

I just love the boots with this outfit! It's sort of ladylike with a sense of humor.

Glad you made it to brunch!

  • K. Period. replied 9 years ago

Boy, I was totally wrong on this one. Remember my hesitance? Yeah. Totally wrong.  This is Phenomenal!!

  • Thistle replied 9 years ago

You look terrific!  I love the 2 piece dress. So very glad you didn't miss it after all!

Isn't it awesome to get carded now?!? I hated it when I was in my 20s. Now, I am so stoked when it happens  :)

  • BethL replied 9 years ago

Anna, I love what Suz said about the lamb and the black sheep, and she nailed it with the boots/little hooves comment! You look stunning in this outfit. Edgy and glamorous all at the same time. Truly fab.

  • greenglove replied 9 years ago

Love you in white on white- perfect for blondes.
    Great look on you!

  • abc replied 9 years ago

Love it, was just wondering if you bought this outfit the other day.  Good to see it already in action :)

  • Ledonna N. replied 9 years ago

So sophisticated and casual at the same time

  • Lisa replied 9 years ago

Pretty textures here.  I notice your WIW's have more skirts lately and I like them.  You have a nice collection and wear them very well.  Plus I always enjoy seeing footwear options for dresses and skirts that is not a classic pump or ballet flat.

  • bella replied 9 years ago

It's a great look! Are we allowed to comment on the hair? It is super cute.

  • Transcona Shannon replied 9 years ago

Wasn't on the forum much on the weekend so missed this - sure glad I caught it now 'cause this is GORGEOUS on you Anna! Seriously. I'm swooning over this combination. I love the texture, the fit, the color...all of it. Too bad about missing brunch but now you have another reason to wear this gorgeous outfit.
