WIW 3/20 Basic

So due to work and dealing with my Dad I haven't had any free time.
Today I'm getting a new fridge delivered. Signs of adulthood, being excited about new appliances.
The weird spring we've been having has me wearing mostly sweatshirts. I had a Barneys coupon to burn that was going to expire. I went downtown yesterday and sales associate and looked through all the women's offerings. One zip-up was horrid. There was a cute off-white hoodie but it was short sleeve and it's not quite warm enough for that.
He found this in the men's department:
It's amazing fabric and it just seemed perfect. Also it does not have French writing on it like so many sweatshirts. It was also about 1/3 of all the other stuff.

Today I tried my Chimala raw jeans, a striped shirt and a traditional Nordic cardigan and red lipstick. It just didn't look right, at all.
I scrubbed off the red lipstick, went back into my closet, and eh. Nothing seemed right. So I decided to try my new sweatshirt. It seemed perfect for the weather. Added my Acne Pistol ankle boots; I do like the contrast of the raw hem of the jeans with the suede and heel height. Chloe bag and put on a nude lipstick.
So not necessarily cutting edge, but right now it works. Also possibly shows influence of Madewell and LaGarconne.

I like this.   It is simple and easy, and looks comfortable, but you still look pulled together and polished.

Some days, it's all about looking awesome in a sweatshirt and jeans, and remembering to brush your teeth before walking out the door.   (We're talking about me now.   Not you.   :D  )

That's a great hoodie - like that the hood is not huge.  Nude lip, bag and boots are a great complement to the look too.

Super cute. I'm loving it Anna, especially the messenger bag remixed with the booties. Picks up the colour of your hair just beautifully.

I love this new direction for you, softer and gentler, with the nudes and neutrals, it let's the "you" shine through. Beautiful.

I think it looks perfect and practical, stylish but still good for doing stuff.

I can feel the softness of that sweatshirt even thru my monitor!

Btw, due to your influence you have me looking at denim dresses like nobody's business.  I could end up with three. . .and I don't even wear dresses!

Effortless look but when you realize the details you see that this is all about intention. Love the warm neutral of the leathers with the cool neutral of the sweatshirt. Well done.

Pet the new fridge for me. I love a new appliance and I'm way into adulthood.
Glad you had some "you time" at Barneys.

That's a great sweatshirt. I really like this look. It's refreshing. Understated... which maybe is an *it* thing right now.

I also really like the booties book-ending your great hair and picking up the color of the messenger bag.   And the gray hoodie looks great with the dark wash jeans and the lighter tan accessories.    I pretty much live in a hoodie that color and with the hood and pockets while at home.   It also layers pretty well under jackets and coats.

I love it, you look adorable, and I agree with crackers about the softer colors. You're very good at applying dramatic makeup and you always look great but you have such a naturally expressive face you really don't need much, if any, embellishment.
I love this outfit, I mean it, you look really cute.

Oh my gosh, this is fab from head to toe! I may have to sneak into your closet and steal that awesome hoodie and fab bag!

Great relaxed look Anna! Even if things are hectic, you certainly look cool and collected. Love the bag/bootie combo with the gray and denim. Nice way to add browns without feeling overly earthy. And perfect for today's weather, gloomy but warming; I was over-ambitious and rolled my jeans and am feeling a bit cold for it ;)
