  I love this! I was thinking the same thing as Rae -this should be your new first date outfit to break the "curse" of the old one. It's flattering, fun and feminine. And it would carry you from drinks to a long day on your feet in an art gallery :-).

  Fabulous! I second IK that your hair looks great pulled back. Between this and your photo with the metallic mini, I must say the short skirt is incredibly flattering for you! love the color plus the boots and the sweater just looks amazing. Really great look.

  Thanks everyone! I really like this outfit and am happy to find a new way to style my MVP cream sweater. Also thanks for hair compliments. Today I got told my hair back was too austere by a close friend. But it's the only way to show off my father's earrings.

  I definitely do not find your pulled back hair too austere. I REALLY like it. Obviously you don't want to wear it that way all the time, but for a change, it is fantastic on you. And I think it highlights the simplicity of this outfit in the best possible way and allows each piece to shine. Love that sweater on you so much.
