WIW 1/25 Maximal mix

I love this outfit irrationally.
I fell in love with this MSGM patterned jacket a long time ago. I found it on super final sale at Ssense, and gambled on the size. Their sizing is a bit inconsistent. It fit, hooray.
Worn with Kenzo tiger sweatshirt, black and white plaid shirt, Acne zipper front midi, Balcienaga Ceinture cut-out boots and arm candy. Day Vie's secret Santa FIERCE braclet, Movado watch and Eddie Borgo purple studded cuff.
I am having trouble deciding on a bag. Target neon clutch versus PS1. I'm leaning towards the PS1, because the brights in the jacket aren't very bright actually.

    I quite like this.

Anna: very du jour! I actually prefer the neon clutch even though it it more sour/bright than the jacket. Makes it even more "au courant" in my book.

PS1 - both because of subtler colours but also it's somewhat 'patterned' and detailed rather than the solid plain surface of the clutch which is not working with the maximal outfit for me.

This is super great. It's got lots of colour and pattern, but doesn't come across as bright, if you know what I mean. It's sophisticated.

This is awesome! It's ALGO and totally fab! Both bags are great with this, but I think the neon goes with the intentional chaos of pattern and color.

There's so much going on here, but you make it all come together. I think outfits like this really show the depth of your fashion knowledge.
I prefer the clutch, and I'm surprised by that, because I usually like subtle

I like this so much on you. And I vote for the PS1.

Very skillful styling here.  I'm impressed the way all of the disparate elements work together.  I think keeping the pieces close to the body helps.  The way this looks from the back is so amazing -- the pattern mixing, the different levels, the way the grey socks pick up the grey plaid shirt.  Punk inspired style at its best.

Blogger-iffic!  You look like you belong in a magazine.  I agree with the PS1, but Target clutch nice too and adds high low element.  Is that the PS1 you thrifted?  So nice.

By the way, where is Day Vies these days (not to hijack your thread)?

Hm, I like the neon bag, FWIW.  Like a splash of citrus in a rich dish.

Wow! Anna this is so fierce. I love this with the clutch

  • goldenpig replied 10 years ago

You look fierce for sure! I love it with the clutch. If you're going to go maximal, why not go all out! The mix of colors and patterns works--I love it!

That is an incredibly gorgeous jacket. Beautifully styled.

So exciting! I love the neon clutch for some more "punch". Brilliant.

  • lyn* replied 10 years ago

Definitely maximal; gorgeous clutch and very very Anna-esque!
