So originally I wanted to wear my Fallon mixed rhinestone and chain necklace. So I created outfit #1-2 around it. And HATED it. The fancy 3.1 Phillip Lim sweatpants are too tight (my weight is up a bit). The shirt is too short to leave untucked. It's just so failed fashionista. The funny thing is that about a year or two ago I would have been happy with the outfit.
Pause. #3.
Then I remember I bought this nuclear bomb sweatshirt from an independent sample sale site. #4-6. Paired with a Zara necklace, changed my lipstick to a more orange red, Barneys covered giant stud leather belt, True Religion Cameron's and LD Tuttle perforated boots.
So...much...happier. Fits my shift to interesting top and shoes. Whew!
Off to help Jenava to do a closet sort and create outfits. Wine will also be involved.

I love the drama of the pictures including the pause. I do like the second outfit much better (you probably understand why better than I do) and I think it sounds terrifically fun to drink wine and help Jenava sort her closet.

Anna - first you failed fasionista is most people's aspirational fashionista!! I thought you looked great in both outfits. But I empathize. I am only 5'3" and if I am up 1 lb things dont' feel the same way. If you're not feeling great in an outfit it doesn't matter that you look wonderful to the rest of us. So it was great to see you look so happy in the second pic!! Love the necklace with the sweatshirt, but booties/jeans all fab!!

I love your final outfit - that sweatshirt is spectacular. Your style seems to have become a little less ALGO over the past year. Still interesting and with amazing pieces, but put together in more streamlined, cohesive ways that put the focus back onto you. You are looking great!

It's always good to change into another outfit when you're not happy with the first one. The new sweatshirt is killer with the necklace. Fun with the torn jeans too.
