WIW 1/11 Evening edition

or it took a lot effort to get the picture.
Huge rain and wind storm blowing through Seattle. So outside pics are less than ideal.
Going to see the opening of Rigoletto with Amy, Jenava and another friend. Seattle Opera suggested dressing like the 30's, as they setting in the fascist Mussolini Italy. The collective hive mind of the forum said my jumpsuit might be OK. Now that I have it all done up I realize it's more seventies, but I'm out of time.
Wearing black silk jumpsuit, Venessa Arizaga rhinestone necklace, Christian Dior pink pointy toe pumps, leopard faux fur jacket and Chloe silver bag.
The bag was my first high end designer purchase. I found it in Century 21 in NYC.

Anna - you look gorgeous - and when did you get those pink pumps????  So. Cute.  Also - faux leopard jacket looks a lot like a jacket that I got at NAS several (4?) years ago.  Can't remember the brand  - and I'm at my mom's so can't go look either.  Anyway - love this whole outfit.  I'm a big fan of your jumpsuits!  Hope you have a good time!

    Killer Retro Stunning

I vote '30s with a '70s touch. Why not? You look sensational Anna, and had fun putting together the outfit. And you'll have fun with friends tonight. That's what it's all about. I love it. (I sooooo want a jumpsuit too - have for three years. Maybe this year?) . At least I can live vicariously through you.

(I remember that Chloe bag from the second time we met - you said you brought it just for me and I was touched. Do you remember that?)

Take care. NASTY, NASTY weather today. xo

Well, the 70s was influenced by the 30s so why not?  You're glam, girl!  Have fun!

    I like! The pumps rock.

PS. Living a vicarious fashion life through you ...

This is a fantastic outfit. I love every element, and I love them even more all put together. You look great, and I hope you have a great time!

  • Vildy replied 10 years ago

You look wonderful. I think the jacket makes it look a whole lot more 30's, too.

  • josie411 replied 10 years ago

Love those shoes! As a fellow Seattleite I would love to hear how you protected them from the rain. Valet parking? Change shoes? Seriously! I need to think more seriously about shoes vs weather so am looking for guidance.

  • Mia replied 10 years ago

Fab outfit and the shoes are killer.  Didn't find a dang thing at C21 so glad you did.  Oh well, it's the thrill of the hunt...

  • Suz replied 10 years ago

I love this! With the jacket it is drop dead glam. It's so fun that the opera suggests theme dressing. At the Tel Aviv opera that would not fly!

Silk, fur coat, silver and high heeled pumps: this is very glam 30s in the spirit at least!
You look glamorous indeed. Love the hot pink shoes!

  • karymk replied 10 years ago

Anna I like absolutely everything in this outfit and the way you styled it, except the watch.  I can't see it up close, but it looks too sporty for the vibe you are after.  Otherwise its a huge hit.  You have the best figure!

Anna, you look stunning in this. Glamorous yet with a touch of fun. And thank you for showing us your shoe case, how cool is that?!

  • Gracie replied 10 years ago

You look absolutely gorgeous and glamorous head to toe. I'm glad we get to see your shoe wall, I'd imagined it completely different, like horizontal shelving, but this looks like a high-end installation. The lighting is great in that photo, I agree with Deborah that this is a great spot for WIWs.
